Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength; and, Love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27
Dear Parents:
We would like to welcome everyone (classes from Nursery through Adult) to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School. A global fair will be brought to your kids at our Vacation Bible School, Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together! Your children will become neighbors at Everywhere Fun Fair as we explore God’s welcoming love and discover how Jesus teaches us to be great neighbors.
After a high-energy opening at Friendship Central and singing at the Choral Corner, the neighbors make their way to the Bible Bazaar. Interactive Bible lessons reveal five Friendship Phrases for living as the kind of neighbor Jesus teaches us to be, and the neighbors will discover Scripture that will boost their faith, long after VBS.
The children will expand on what they’ve learned by participating in a variety of activities: making their own art projects at the Creation Zone, exploring science activities at Innovation Station, and participating in recreational activities at Global Games.
If you haven’t already done so, please complete registration for each child at http://2013.cokesburyvbs.com/MtZionUMC
This year will be receiving monetary donations for global missions such as:
Amazima Ministries
Operation Christmas Child
Stop Hunger Now
Z.O.E. (Zimbabwe Orphan Endeavor)
We encourage your child to bring a monetary donation for these projects. The money can be placed in the global tube located in the New Fellowship Hall and in front of the VBS Global Missions bulletin board. Mt. Zion UMC and these ministries will appreciate your gift very much! Let’s show our children how to help our fellow brothers and sisters! Thank you for your support!
A couple of items to note:
- At the beginning of each night, kids should check-in at the Registration Booth located between the two buildings.
- Children ages 4 and under will be in their room for pick-up. We encourage that a parent or approved adult be the one to pick them up.
- A lite snack will be available at the Registration Booth as children depart for the evening.
